ACTIVITY 9: THINKING HATS

INTRODUCTION:

In the first part of the activity we were given a brief of all the 6 thinking hats, each thinking hat represents a different emotion later we divided into groups and each group was assigned a thinking hat

In the warm up activity we had to create a poster of the assigned thinking hat.

we were given RED HAT which represents feelings and intuitions.

what does red hat signify?

  1. express true feelings

  2. at the beginning and at the end

  3. intuitions

  4. unspoken background feelings

  5. feelings towards others

  6. emotion such as jealousy

  7. no requirement for explanation

MAIN ACTIVITY:

In the main activity all the groups were given mystery boxes. our groups mystery box consisted of voice control devices like Alexa and google home. we had to create a presentation reflecting all the six hats for the same.

WHITE HAT represents all the information collected for alexa

RED HAT represents the features of the device

GREEN HAT represents what all improvements can be done to make Alexa more customer friendly

BLACK HAT represents the risks and drawbacks of the device

YELLOW HAT represents

BLUE HAT also known as managers hat manages all the work reflected by each hat

REFLECTION:

  1. This think lab activity is my favourite out of all 9 activities we had done so far. My group was well coordinated and we were able to complete both the tasks on time

  2. Thinking of all the hats I realised how we use all these hats in daily lives without knowing them

  3. working with hats I realised how different hats reflect different emotions in almost everything we do. There is a specific sequence of representing each hat for eg: white hat without collecting the information we can't move to the next hat.

  4. All the group members equally participated in the mind map, we divided the hats amongst all the group members and every previous hat person was helping the next all the hats are interconnected.

LEARNING MANTRA OF THE DAY:

"great things in a business are never done by one person

they are done by a team of people"
