LJL: M2M

This project was the last online project. This project was about transforming a normal, simple material to an interesting form. We got to know about new materials and started exploring with them.

day 1 we started by cutting paper using scissors and started creating a pattern out of it

day 2 we used different types of paper and created swatches out of it with different works

MANIPULATING PAPER

*The first paper texture I tried to experiment was paper twisting I was having problem because the paper was very thin but later after multiple attempts I did it. I realised we have to twist the paper until it becomes very thin.

* The second paper texture I tried was paper pulping. I poured the paper into water because it is the easiest way of making paper pulp.

*The third I tried was paper cutting and that is jaali art. I tried to cut out pieces out the paper to give a texture to that paper

Do's while using cutter:

Apply right amount of pressure otherwise it will lead to untidy cuts

Always lock the blade when you are not using it.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR USING ADHESIVE:

*Don't leave your adhesive without a cap

*Keep your adhesive horizontally and not vertically.

DAY 4: We started our day with cutting the frames for the final outcome we had to make sure about the lengths according to the sunboard thickness. initially it took me six attempts to make the correct frames.

MUDDIEST POINT :

I was not feeling confident in cutting sunboard. the pattern which I decided at first didn't come up the way I wanted it to come

CLEAREST POINT

Nothing is easy but exploration is important I struggle with adhesives and cutter m2m box was something which struggled the most since cutting and pasting was something which wasn't my cup of tea but still practice is the key to success.

CONCLUSION

To conclude this project I can say that out tutors helped us a lot for making this cube .alsoo I can say that the quizzes helped us to know a lot about unknown things.
